There are plans for a new hostel and community café in a west Roscommon village.
Funding worth over €280,000 was announced last week for the change of use of two vacant and derelict Garda stations in Ballintubber and Tarmonbarry.
The funding for Tarmonbarry is to be used for a new community hub while the plans in Ballintubber lie elsewhere.

The Ballintubber project was first mooted in over eight years ago and conceptual designs are already in place.
