Plans have been lodged for a new Lidl supermarket in south Roscommon.
The German chain wants to build it on a 3-acre site in Monksland.
This planning application has been officially lodged with Roscommon County Council.
The site is located immediately south of the Joe Duffy car showroom in Monksland.
The development would include a Lidl store, with an off-licence area.
This would measure nearly 2,500 square metres.
Two much smaller units are also planned - a cafe or restaurant and a shop.
These would each measure around 145 square metres.
The council is likely to decide in late-July whether to give the plans the green light.
