A decision on a potential new 72-room hostel planned for Carrick on Shannon has been delayed.
Goldpine Partnership applied to Leitrim County Council to develop the hostel at Flynn's Field in the town earlier this year.
244 guests would be accommodated in the new 72-room hostel planned for Carrick.
The construction would consist of a 3-storey mixed-use building comprising of 72 rooms, hostel reception, café, staff facilities, admin office, linen store, toilets, and service areas including bin and bike storage.
The application also includes three retail units with direct access to the street, an ESB substation and switch room accessed from Flynn's field.
The development includes all ancillary hostel facilities, and is designed to accommodate up to 244 guests.
However, Leitrim County Planners have now asked Goldpine Partnership for further information on the application which has delayed a decision being made.
