Plans have been announced for the 61st annual Shannon Boat Rally.
The event takes place from the 28th of July and the 6th of August and the rally will visit a number of towns in the Shannonside region.
On Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th, the boats will visit Dromod, while on Monday the 31st and Tuesday the 1st of August, Drumsna is on the agenda.
Other locations include Lough Key Forest Park and Carrick on Shannon.
Waterways Ireland is advising boat users who want to make a through passage at the bridge in Carrick on Shannon that this will be facilitated every 2 hours during the regatta events.
Saturday, July 29, and Sunday, July 30: Dromod, Monday, July 31 and Tuesday, August: Drumsna, Wednesday, August 2, Thursday, August 3, and Friday, August 4: Lough Key Forest Park, Saturday, August 5 and Sunday, August 6: Carrick-on-Shannon (The fleet will be divided between Carrick Boat Club, Butler's Marina and Emerald Star in the town).
