Planning permission is being sought for the construction of a two-storey retail building and car park in Co. Longford.
Gazania Holdings Ltd has applied to Longford County Council to develop a new commercial building in Drumlish which will accommodate six retail units.
It will be served by a central stair and lift, and is set to include four retail units on the ground floor and two units on the first storey.
The works will also include a new car park with 53 spaces, bike parking area, and new pedestrian pathways.
The submission also proposes to develop road links between the new car park and the existing car park serving an adjacent supermarket on the Longford Road.
Longford county planners have received the application and are due to make a decision by the end of September.
