Planning has been lodged for the development of a new McDonald's drive-thru restaurant in Mullingar. The project consists of a single-storey restaurant at the Lakepoint Retail & Business Park in Petitswood. The application includes elevational signage, car parking including accessible parking spaces, grill bays, EV charging spaces, bicycle parking, height restrictor, customer order points and digital menu boards.
The submission also proposes the development of a ESB substation and kiosk, landscaping including outdoor furniture and seating areas. County planners have received the application and a decision is expected to be made by February 2025.
