Roscommon County Council is seeking to develop a new town park in Ballaghaderreen. The new park will be called The Plots Town Park and will include facilities for all ages. The Plots Town Park in Ballaghaderreen has gone to Part 8 planning and will include a children's active recreation area, outdoor exercise equipment and a plaza style skate park.
The park will also include grassed areas and a wildflower meadow, aged-friendly seating, and soft landscaping including trees, shrubs, hedging, flowers and grass. It will also include all ancillary site works and the provision of a new access path. A planning decision on the project is due on the 14th of December and submissions can be made until that date.
