Inland Fisheries Ireland is seeking planning permission to construct a new fisheries base in Roscommon. The application has been submitted by IFI for the base at Portrunny. The plans call for a single-storey building containing offices, meeting rooms, a canteen, changing facilities and storage facilities for boats and associated equipment.
Also included in the designs is a new vehicular access way, driveways, car parking areas and storage yards. Inland Fisheries Ireland are also seeking the installation of a rain water harvesting system, ground mounted solar arrays and security fencing. County planners will decide on the application later this summer.
