Planning permission sought for new fisheries base in County Roscommon

The application has been submitted by IFI for the base at Portrunny.

Inland Fisheries Ireland is seeking planning permission to construct a new fisheries base in Roscommon. The application has been submitted by IFI for the base at Portrunny. The plans call for a single-storey building containing offices, meeting rooms, a canteen, changing facilities and storage facilities for boats and associated equipment.

Also included in the designs is a new vehicular access way, driveways, car parking areas and storage yards. Inland Fisheries Ireland are also seeking the installation of a rain water harvesting system, ground mounted solar arrays and security fencing. County planners will decide on the application later this summer.
