Planning permission has been lodged for a new block of apartments in Granard.
Michael G. O'Reilly has applied to Longford County Council to change the use of a créche and a two-storey extension at the rear of a house to 9 apartments at The Granada in the town.
The 9 apartments would consist of 4 three-bedroom apartments and 5 two-bedroom apartments each with associated private garden ground or balconies.

Also included in the application is the construction of 7 dormer windows, modifications to the East, West and North Courtyard Elevations with proposed new window/door openings, and a revised parking layout.
Longford County Planners will decide on the issue in August
