Planning permission has been granted for a new facility for a Westmeath boxing club.
Athlone boxing club had proposed a new facility to be developed at its premises on the Ballymahon Road.
The upgrade will include an indoor arena, changing facilities, equipment storage areas, toilets and changing facilities for disabled persons.
The application also included all associated site works, landscaping, and drainage.
Planning permission was granted by Westmeath County Council, with 6 conditions attached.
