Planning lodged for new 18m high telecommunications pole in north Longford

Planning permission has been lodged for a new 18 metre communications mast in north Longford to aid broadband  and wireless data services.

Eircom Limited have applied to Longford County Council to develop the monopole at the  Eir Exchange site  in Rathmore, Aughnacliffe.

The mast will carry antennas, dishes, associated equipment and ground-based equipment cabinets

Submissions on the project are to be made by the 17th of February with a decision expected on the 10th of March.
