Planning lodged for works on well-known Longford building

Planning permission has been lodged for works on a well-known building in Longford.

Dun Farnagh limited are seeking permission for alterations and extensions to Viewmount House, located on the Dublin Road in Longford Town.

Plans include a minor extension to the bar to provide an accessible toilet and porch, the erection of laundry to service the hotel and a service yard.

Also included is the addition of an en-suite bedroom to the southeast gable annex and additional car parking spaces.

Viewmount House is a protected structure and Longford County Planners will decide on the issue in September.
