Planning granted for waste transfer station permit in Ballinasloe

It is the second time the project has got the green light from the local authority

Planning permission has been granted for a controversial waste transfer station permit in Ballinasloe.

The proposed facility had been strongly resisted by people in the region with locals forming the Ballinasloe Says No campaign in response to the development.

Bruscar Bhearna Teoranta had been seeking permission to operate the facility in the Poolboy area for several years, with a previous permission overturned in the High Court.
