Planned strike action for next week by unions representing workers in the National Ambulance Service has been called off.
The Labour Court held a meeting today with representatives from SIPTU and UNITE and HSE management.
Union members staged a 24-hour work stoppage earlier this week in a dispute over pay and conditions.
Protests took place in Athlone, Carrick-0n-Shannon, Loughlynn, Longford and Roscommon.
SIPTU organiser and Leitrim native Ciaran Sheridan says next week’s strike has been suspended - but talks will resume on Monday.
