Roscommon county council have refused permission for the construction of a 150 metre high wind turbine in Kilcash.
Natural Forces Renewable Energy Ltd applied for the 4.2 megawatt turbine, hard stand and substation in April 2021.
The application was subject of a number of local submissions claiming the development would affect local areas of conservation, disrupt local wildlife and act as a nuisance to locals.

Local planners ruled against the wind turbine earlier this week.
