The town is currently decked in blue and primrose ahead of Sunday's Connacht senior football final.

People in Roscommon are being urged to 'keep the flag flying' ahead of the National TidyTowns competition. Roscommon town is currently decked in blue and primrose ahead of Sunday's Connacht senior football final. But a former councillor and Chairperson of the local TidyTowns group is urging people to keep their flags up.

Kathleen Shanagher has also called on local businesses and residents to play their part ahead of judging next month. Speaking on Let's Talk, she says the race is on to maintain the town's Gold Medal status:
