Two county councils in the Shannonside region are among those that have taken enforcement actions against developers for breaching a planning condition since 2020.
The condition, commonly known as Part V, requires them to deliver a percentage of social housing as part of new housing estates.
According to a report by TheJournal Investigates, over the last five years, there have been 7 in Leitrim and Roscommon have recorded twelve.
By contrast, since 2020 Longford County Council hasn't acquired any Part V social housing.
