Councillors have approved a Part 8 planning application for a new car park planning scheme in Ballaghaderreen.
A protest previously took place at the local authority's headquarters over the public realm works in the west Roscommon town.
When completed, the scheme will consist of a new car park in 'The Plots' and additional parking at the eastern area of The Square.
