Over a hundred people gathered in support of SNAs on Market Square in Longford Town this afternoon.
Parents, carers, local representatives and SNAs themselves protested the government's review of allocations in schools across the country.
Over the past number of weeks, the National Council for Special Education informed almost 200 schools nationally that their SNA allocation was being cut.
The government has since paused the review for this year due to widespread concerns.
