Fianna Fáil's Paddy Farrell will become the Cathaoirleach of Leitrim County Council today. The Leitrim village councillor will take over from his party colleague Paddy O'Rourke. He'll hold the role for one year and will be paid 20,000 euro.
Aughnasheelin councillor Gary Prior will become Leas-Cathaoirleach. Councillor O'Rourke is wishing Paddy Farrell well:
