Overcrowding problems persist at local hospitals

The INMO's latest trolley watch report has been published.

Sligo University Hospital was the fourth most overcrowded in the country today.

That's according to the INMO's latest trolley watch report.

Tuesday's figures show there 57 patients waiting for a bed there this morning.

This included 31 in the emergency department and 26 on wards elsewhere.

Meanwhile, there were 25 patients waiting at Portiuncula and 8 in the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar.
