Overcrowding persists at local hospitals

The INMO's latest trolley watch report has been published.

Overcrowding continues to impact a number of local hospitals.

According to the INMO's latest trolley watch report, there were 47 patients waiting for a bed at Sligo University Hospital.

This is the fourth highest in the country.

Elsewhere, there were 6 at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe and in Mullingar 1.

Nationally, University Hospital Limerick remains the most overcowded hospital with 89.
