Overcrowding continues at local hospitals

There were almost 60 admitted patients waiting for a bed at local hospitals this morning.

That's according to the INMO's latest trolley watch report.

Friday's figures show there were 44 patients waiting in Sligo University Hospital.

This included 25 in the emergency department and 19 on wards elsewhere.

While there were 13 patients waiting in Portiuncula.
