The overcrowding situation at Sligo hospital has gotten worse in the last 24 hours.
Yesterday, the trolley watch figures reported for the morning showed 40 people waiting for admission on trolleys, and the figure today has risen to 48.
33 of the patients waiting for admission are being accommodated on trolleys at Sligo hospitals emergency department this morning, with another 15 trolleys located in wards around the hospital.
