Over €400,000 has been earmarked for local enhancement programmes across the region.
The funding was announced by Rural Development and Community Ministers Dara Calleary and Jerry Buttimer.
The Local Enhancement Programme 2025 was launched in November last year to provide capital supports for small community groups and organisations across the country.
Co. Roscommon received the most funding in the region, with a total of €151,685 allocated.
Among the groups benefitting from the funding are the South Roscommon Family Resource Centre, which is set to receive €5,000, and the Afro in Diaspora Centre in Boyle, having secured just under €4,500.
Meanwhile in Co. Longford, over €145,000 has been secured for local projects.
These include just under €8,000 for St. Mary's Childcare Campus in Edgeworthstown, €5,220 for Longford Women's Link, and €4,000 for the county's Foróige LEAP Youth Diversion Project.
Co. Leitrim received the lowest amount of funding in the country, at €114,782.
This has been allocated to a range of GAA clubs in the county, as well as €3,000 for Carrick-on-Shannon Men's Shed, €3,121 for the Leitrim Village Development Association, and just over €1,200 for the Leitrim Association of People with Disabilities.
In total, the department has earmarked €6.9 million for 5,421 projects nationwide.
