Over €4 million worth of funding has been allocated for greenway projects in the Shannonside region. The Minister for Transport Darragh O'Brien made the announcement today which will see €67 million spent nationally this year. A new greenway between Lough Key in Boyle and Carrick on Shannon has been provided with a further €400,000. Sligo-Leitrim TD Frank Feighan has welcomed the news:
