Over €370,000 secured for local heritage projects

The funding is provided by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage's National Built Heritage Service.

Over €370,000 worth of funding has been announced for projects in the Shannonside region under the Built Heritage Investment Scheme.
The funding is provided by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage's National Built Heritage Service.
Roscommon received the highest allocation locally from this weeks funding announcement with over €140,000 going to projects in the county.

The funding is set to be used on projects like Elphin Windmill and Clonalis House, Castlerea.
€120,000 is set to go to projects in Co. Longford which includes the Old Rectory in Edgeworthstown and the Former Garda Barracks in Ardagh.
Finally, in Co. Leitrim €108,000 worth of funding was announced this week for works at Carrigallen Church of Ireland and St. Mary's Church, Gortletteragh.
