Over 60 waiting for a bed at local hospitals

There were just over 60 patients waiting for a bed at hospitals serving the Shannonside region this morning.

Figures published by the INMO, show there were 63 across Sligo, Portiuncula and Mullingar hospitals.

49 were waiting at Sligo University Hospital with eight at Mullingar and six in Portiuncula.

Nationally, University Hospital Limerick remains the country's most overcrowded at 107.
