Over 540 eviction notices have been issued to tenants across the Shannonside region last year,
Data from the Residential Tenancies Board also shows the national average rent for new tenancies is over one-thousand-700 euro.
The number of eviction notices issued by landlords rose by 41% in the last three months of 2025 compared to the same time a year earlier.
According to the RTB, 543 eviction notices were received by tenants across the Shannonside region last year.
This includes 206 in Co. Roscommon, 201 in Co. Longford, and 136 in Co. Leitrim.
Nationally, over 20 thousand eviction notices were issued to tenants last year, up from 16-thousand-546 in 2024.
The RTB figures for the final three months of 2025 also show renters in existing agreements are paying, on average, 282 euro less.
