Over 500 students attended the annual Microsoft Longford Dreamspace event in Edgeworthstown yesterday.
The event, now in its third year, is a partnership between Longford County Council and Microsoft, with VEX Robotics and Ericisson involved also.
Teams from 27 schools across the county displayed a range of projects addressing sustainability challenges.
The programme provided students with the opportunity to enhance their STEM and AI skills through working with emerging technologies and microbit mini computers.
Projects on display included goal net sensors for referees, visual doorbells for those with hearing loss and a bedroom alarm to stop nosey siblings.
