Figures from the INMO today show high numbers of people waiting for beds across the Shannonside region.
There are 52 people waiting for beds at University Hospital Galway today, down from 80 yesterday.
A total of 31 people are waiting for admission to Sligo University Hospital today, with 19 patients being accommodated on trolleys in the Emergency Department and another 12 people on trolleys elsewhere in the facility.

19 patients are waiting for beds at Portiuncula hospital in Ballinasloe, while there are 15 on trolleys in Tullamore, and 10 in Mullingar.
