Over 50 patients waiting for a bed at local hospitals

Over 50 people are waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the Shannonside region today.

That's according to the latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

43 people were waiting for a bed at Sligo University Hospital as of this morning.

There were 4 waiting on trolleys at Portiuncula University Hospital in Ballinasloe whilst 4 patients were also waiting for a bed at the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar.
