Over 400 tickets sold for Drumshanbo nationalist event - despite calls for cancellation

Over 400 tickets have been sold for a nationalist event in Co Leitrim - despite calls for it to be cancelled.

The Mise Éire festival is taking place on August 23rd in the Mayflower Community Centre, which has a capacity of 750.

The organisers say it's an Irish culture and heritage event, and Castlerea native John Waters is among the speakers.

Around 260 people have signed a petition calling for it to be called off.
