Over 350 new social homes are now in the delivery pipeline for counties across the region. That's according to the government's latest Social Housing Construction Status Report. The report provides a detailed overview of new-build activity across local authorities and Approved Housing Bodies nationwide. The report shows 183 new-build social homes are set to be delivered for Co. Longford.
Meanwhile, 144 social homes are now in the pipeline for Roscommon, and 27 in Co. Leitrim. Nationally, 22,949 new-build social homes are in the delivery process with 9,703 were under construction and a further 13,246 units at design or tender stage. Housing Minister James Browne says this is a 'robust plan' which provides a 'solid foundation for maintaining record levels of social housing delivery' in the years ahead.
