Over 110 adults across the Shannonside region were living in emergency accommodation in March.
The figure was revealed in the Department of Housing's monthly report.
The data was collected during the week 23-29 March.
This includes 60 across Co. Westmeath, 21 in Co. Longford, 17 in both Co. Leitrim and Co. Roscommon.
Nationally, a total of 17,517 people were homeless -- 5,571 of these were children.
