Orange wind warning for Leitrim downgraded as Storm Amy moves away

A man in his 40's died following what's thought to be a weather related incident in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal yesterday afternoon.

A status Orange wind warning has been replaced by a Yellow wind and rain warning until noon for Leitrim, Donegal and Sligo.

A Yellow wind warning is also in place until noon for Dublin, Louth, Wicklow, Clare, Kerry, Galway and Mayo - as Storm Amy moves away from the country.

Thousands of homes are still waiting on power to be restored following the first storm of the season.
