The OPW Minister is visiting Roscommon on Monday to give an update on long-term plans to end the south Roscommon flooding crisis. A short-term pumping solution to the Lough Funshinagh situation was implemented earlier this year. In June, Minister Kevin 'Boxer' Moran said a planning application for the long-term solution would be made by the end of the year.
He's visiting Roscommon County Council on Monday afternoon to provide an update. Local Independent councillor Laurence Fallon says he's hoping the Minister will have a positive announcement:
