OPW Minister Kieran O'Donnell says a planning application for flood-relief works in south Roscommon will be lodged "shortly". They involve a temporary pipeline and pumping solution, to prevent homes around Lough Funshinagh being flooded this winter.
Taoiseach Simon Harris indicated the works would go to planning by the end of August - but this timeline wasn't met. Local Independent councillor Laurence Fallon says he understands there's no major delay:
