Opposition is growing from within Government to the proposed Dublin tourist tax.
It's after the capital's four councils put forward the idea to raise funds to improve the city.
The Business Post reports Enterprise Minister Peter Burke is against the plans to bring in the new tourist tax in Dublin.
It says legislation would be needed to introduce the levy, which would be in place by September and would be received from hotel beds.
But a number of other senior coalition ministers are also thought to be strongly opposed to the idea, particularly within Fine Gael who are set to oppose the tax if proposed.
These include Fine Gael Arts Minister Patrick O'Donovan, who's told the Business Post he would not back the tax in his own constituency of Limerick.
Minister O'Donovan says "the last thing we need to do is add more costs on people".
