Only 19 roads in Co Leitrim were addressed under the Local Improvement Scheme in 2025.
The scheme involves the state and homeowners jointly paying for the upgrade of small roads and laneways.
The Department of Rural Development have allocated over €900,000 to the county under the scheme, while there are 120 roads are yet to be completed in the county.
