One in seven teenagers in Roscommon don't do any physical activity.
A new study also reveals four in 10 said they'd been outside after midnight over the past week.
The Western Region Drug and Alcohol Task Force conducted this Planet Youth survey, with 659 15 and 16-year-olds in Roscommon responding.
It reveals some surprising findings in relation to teenagers' leisure time.
39 per cent said they'd been outside after midnight in the past week.
28 per cent hang out with friends in the streets.
14 per cent never do any physical activity.
The report says wellbeing and mental health are closely linked to physical activity.
It says teenagers who never do any physical activity are twice as likely to report poor mental health, when compared to teens that do 60 minutes of physical activity once a week or twice a week or more.
