New analysis shows that there has been no increase in the sale of electric vehicles in the Shannonside region so far this year.
According to the Society of the Irish Motor Industry, electric vehicle registrations in Ireland rose significantly in Quarter 1 of 2025.
Despite the increase nationally, Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon were the only counties to experience no EV growth when compared to the same period in 2024.
Tipperary has seen the highest increase, with electric registrations up 116% year-on-year.
