Irish Water is advising people in certain areas of Longford that nightly water restrictions will be in place starting tonight, Monday.
The restrictions affect Longford Town,, Ballymakeegan, Ballinalee, Newtownforbes, Drumlish, Clondra, Granard, Aughnacliff, Abbeyshrule, Ballymahon, Lanesboro and Newtowncashel, and surrounding areas.
Customers in these areas can expect low pressure or outages between 11pm and 6:30am.

Irish Water say the sub-zero temperatures have put increased pressure on water supplies in the area.
They say the night-time restrictions are essential to ensuring a day-time supply.
