A new Superintendent has been appointed to Longford Garda Station.
Tomás Watters will commence his new role on May 25th.
He replaces Superintendent Micheal Dorrigan, who has been transferred to the Dundalk Community Engagement Functional Area.

Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly previously came under fire because of the transfer, with local politicians urging him not to leave Longford without a superintendent.
