Students are due back on campus for the first time in over a year at Athlone Institute of Technology this morning.
The soon to be Technological University will welcome back students in second, third and fourth year today, with incoming first-year students starting their studies on Monday, 27 September.
Classes are to be offered as a blended mix of in-person and online with the majority of students vaccinated.

Aine Daly is the Students Union president for the AIT-Lit consortium which will become the Technological University of the Shannon, Midlands Midwest on October 1st.
