Roscommon's newest councillor has described social media reports linking him with a proposed IPAS centre in Roscommon as 'hurtful'.
Ballintubber man, Michael Holland, who was co-opted to replace the late Anthony Waldron yesterday, denied the claims.
He said he had no involvement in proposals to house those seeking international protection at Academy House on Goff Street.
A group called Roscommon Says No to IPAS has been set up to oppose the proposal.
