New report shows intolerable pressure in Emergency Departments

Emergency Departments across the country are under an intolerable amount of pressure, according to a new report.

It comes as figures reveal there are currently 1,624 people in hospital with Covid-19.

A shortage of staff due to the virus is also placing further strain on the department.

Earlier today, there were renewed calls for mask-wearing and social distancing by the HSE, for those with symptoms.
