The Junior Transport Minister officially opened a new pedestrian and cycle scheme in Granard today.
The Active Travel Scheme extends from Market Street to Barrack Lane and includes a new roadway and car park.
The project received funding worth 200 thousand euro back in 2021.
Minister Sean Canney officially unveiled the upgrade this afternoon.
He says the new infrastructure offers locals more choice on how they can travel to work or school:
