New partnership to create jobs and boost tourism along the River Suck

The partnership has been endorsed by Fáilte Ireland and Hidden Heartlands.

It's hoped that a new partnership between organisations in Roscommon and Galway can benefit villages and towns along the River Suck.

The joint initiative is backed by Roscommon Leader, Galway RDC and local councillors and the first meeting took place on Friday in Ballymoe.

It will focus on the creation of new jobs as well as boosting local tourism.

Councillor Tony Waldron, Chairperson of the Suck Valley Way, believes this collaboration is historic and will have mutual benefits in the neighbouring counties.
