New Longford sensory playground to 'make a difference' for local children

The state-of-the-art sensory playground was designed for young people with physical or intellectual disabilities.

The Rural and Community Development Minister Dara Calleary has welcomed a new sensory playground in Longford Town.
During his visit to the former Greyhound Track site, the Minister praised the work of the local authority and Longford government representatives in securing the amenity for the town.

The state-of-the-art sensory playground was designed for young people with physical or intellectual disabilities.
More plans are also in the works for the site, including a car park and football pitch.
Speaking at the playground, Minister Dara Calleary said he is looking forward to working with the council to develop the area further:
